Egans Creek Guided Hike and Right Whale Exhibit
Saturday, 1/31 at 10:00am
Free / $10 for museum visit
Guests Welcome (all ages)
Overview: Join us on a hike led by FMNP instructor Christina Nelson! We will be meeting at Egan’s creek greenway at 10 am and strolling about a mile south and back. Christina will help identify the flora and fauna along the way. With the wetlands and low shrubs, this is a great habitat for many wading birds, songbirds, turtles, alligators, otters, etc.
As we wrap up around noon, feel free to hike more, picnic or grab lunch in Fernandina. At 1 pm, we will be heading to the Amelia Island Museum of History to check out the Right Whale exhibit! Admission is $10 for adults.

About the Right Whale Exhibit: The Amelia Island Museum of History will present Right Whales of Amelia Island through April 5, 2026. This exhibition explores their hunted history and fragile hope-filled future. Learn more about the exhibit and associated presentations on their website.
